Mike Robertson
Artistic Director
Mike Robertson was named as Artistic Director of Loveland Choral Society in 2023 and first started singing with the Loveland Choral Society after moving to Loveland in 1999. He credits many influences to his background in music, having sung in Wyoming All-State choirs, festivals, and musical theater productions. He began his formal study of music at Ricks College in Rexburg, ID and spent summers in Jackson Hole honing his performance and presentation skills. He has a degree in Music Education from the University of Wyoming and has taught music in Loveland schools for the past 23 years.
moreRachel Carlson

Rachel, originally from Kansas, began taking piano lessons at the age of 6. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Kansas State University and taught choral music in her home state for thirteen years. Aviva is recognized as a published author and parenting expert with degrees in adolescent behavior and educational psychology. She spends her days teaching at risk youth and uses music and her own over-the-top energy to engage her students.
moreBoard of Directors
James Berg
President
As an LCS veteran since 1999, James has been humbled by the sheer magnitude and breadth of music he's performed over the years, as well as the iconic roles he's been cast in. Each show has provided the opportunity to showcase his passionate desire to freely express emotions and entertain. While claiming stage-induced amnesia as the reason he's able to "let loose" when performing, the experiences he's shared and friendships he's made with other members are unforgettable. James now employs his marketing and relationship-building background on the LCS board as an expanded means to serve. Outside of LCS, he enjoys writing parody lyrics and rhymes, singing and thumping on a cajon with a cover band, traveling, paddleboarding, and genuinely enjoying the outdoors.
moreDoreen Michals
Vice President
Doreen began contributing her joy for music to the organization when she joined LCS in 2021. Although Doreen's passion for music led her to LCS, she has additionally benefited from the numerous friendships she has cultivated throughout her journey. Doreen is a retired Program Manager, having spent 30 years working in the human service profession. Doreen became a member of the Loveland Choral Society (LCS) board in 2025, with the objective of expanding the organization's reach to broader segments of the community and promoting all the offerings of LCS.
moreErica Records
Treasurer
Erica joined Loveland Choral Society in 2009 and the Board in 2012. She was thrilled to find a place to sing outside her car and shower. Erica loves to have the opportunity to sing so many different styles of music and to get to dance a little too. Her favorite solo performances include “Honey Bun” (South Pacific), “What I Did For Love” (A Chorus Line) and “Let It Go” (Frozen). Erica has a degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA and has spent over 20 years in the high tech industry as a financial, engineering, and operations program manager. She also owns and operates a bookkeeping and financial services firm.
moreAshley Rogers
Secretary
Ashley was introduced to LCS in 2011 thanks to a co-worker after a regrettable hiatus from choral music after graduating college. She has since enjoyed her return to music and being an active part of such a wonderful and welcoming group, however, what she loves most about being part of LCS is how it pushes her to grow and overcome her introverted tendencies both on and off the stage. As a member of the board, Ashley hopes to use her skills in creating order from chaos to support the organization in new ways. Outside of LCS, she enjoys traveling, camping, spending time with her husband and dog(s), cheering on the Colorado Avalanche, and making music with her cover band.
