What This Trip Is About
- LCS has partnered with Music Celebrations International, as well as the Austrian Tourist Board and the mayors of Vienna and Salzburg, to present this opportunity for participation in the 2027 American Celebration of Music Concert Series.
Our ensemble has the opportunity to:
- Walk in the footsteps of Beethoven, Haydn, Strauss, Mahler, Mozart, Schubert, Brahms, Bruckner, and many other influential composers.
- Experience the excitement of performing in venues once used by these gifted composers.
- Experience the thrill of performing to large, appreciative audiences in venues of the highest musical and historical quality.

The Group Will Visit and Perform In Salzburg, Vienna, and Prague
Salzburg
Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace, is a delight from the first sight of the outline of the Hohensalzburg Fortress, the symbol of the power of the prince-archbishops. The city's picturesque streets with their wrought-iron signs, its spacious squares with sculptured fountains and the noble architecture of its buildings inspired by bishops with a passion for construction, leave memories which linger for years.
Loveland Choral Society will perform at University Church in Salzburg as part of the American Celebration of Music in Austria.
Loveland Choral Society will also attend the Annual Jubilate Mozart! Festival Grand Finale Concert held at the historic and stunning Salzburger Dom.
Vienna
Vienna is still considered the music capital of the world. It is a city of refined tastes, grace, style and unmatched artistic accomplishments. For a thousand years, Vienna was the capital of the far-flung Holy Roman and Hapsburg empires. Though its people and ways have changed, Vienna has retained its imperial monuments, not as reminders of past glories, but as living symbols of its present freedom.
Loveland Choral Society will perform at Minoritenkirche in Vienna as part of the American Celebration of Music in Austria.
Prague
Prague achieved much of its present glory in the 14th century, during the long reign of Charles IV. During the Middle Ages, Prague enjoyed a golden age - a time when Prague was larger than Paris or London! The Hapsburgs also left their artistic and architectural mark. Today, Prague is universally declared one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
Loveland Choral Society will perform at St. Nicholas Church as part of the American Celebration of Music in the Czech Republic.

While we've already begun rehearsing the amazing repertoire we plan to share overseas, the financial resources to make something like this happen are always a stretch for many singers. Even though we spread our payments out over the year and a half we prepare, life often has its own plans.
