The Group Will Visit and Perform In Vienna, Salzburg, and Prague

University Church in Salzburg.jpg

Salzburg

Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace, is a delight from the first sight of the outline of the Hohensalzburg Fortress, the symbol of the power of the prince-archbishops. The city's picturesque streets with their wrought-iron signs, its spacious squares with sculptured fountains and the noble architecture of its buildings inspired by bishops with a passion for construction, leave memories which linger for years.

Loveland Choral Society will perform at University Church in Salzburg as part of the American Celebration of Music in Austria.

Loveland Choral Society will also attend the Annual Jubilate Mozart! Festival Grand Finale Concert held at the historic and stunning Salzburger Dom.

Minoritenkirche - Vienna.jpg

Vienna

Vienna is still considered the music capital of the world. It is a city of refined tastes, grace, style and unmatched artistic accomplishments. For a thousand years, Vienna was the capital of the far-flung Holy Roman and Hapsburg empires. Though its people and ways have changed, Vienna has retained its imperial monuments, not as reminders of past glories, but as living symbols of its present freedom.

Loveland Choral Society will perform at Minoritenkirche in Vienna as part of the American Celebration of Music in Austria.

St. Nicholas Church - Prague.jpg

Prague

Prague achieved much of its present glory in the 14th century, during the long reign of Charles IV. During the Middle Ages, Prague enjoyed a golden age - a time when Prague was larger than Paris or London! The Hapsburgs also left their artistic and architectural mark. Today, Prague is universally declared one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

Loveland Choral Society will perform at St. Nicholas Church as part of the American Celebration of Music in the Czech Republic.

Are You Interested in Joining Us on this Tour?

LCS Artistic Director, Mike Robertson, went on the director’s tour this summer and came back excited to share all this tour has to offer. If you are at all interested, we hope you’ll take the time to look over the materials on this page which go into great detail regarding the tour and everything that is included in the cost.

Mike is currently in the process of selecting music which will be mostly sacred in order to be appropriate for the venues in which LCS will perform. You can expect this music to be sung a cappella and it will need to be memorized.

You likely have questions and we are here to answer them. Please contact us by email at lovelandchoralsociety@gmail.com OR by filling out the contact form on our Contact page (pick one option to contact us).

NEXT STEPS

1. Let us know you're interested

If you are interested in traveling to Europe in Summer 2027 with LCS, contact us by email at lovelandchoralsociety@gmail.com OR by filling out the form on our Contact Page.

**Even if you expressed interest previously, please do so again.**

**We ask that you contact us no later than December 1.**

2. Make An Initial Deposit of $50

We will have more details regarding a payment schedule, etc., very soon - but for now, $50 (Zelle, check or cash) will let us know you’d like to participate in this exciting adventure (no need to send $50 if you have previously paid.)

**If you previously made a $50 Deposit you do not need to do so again.**

3. Plan to Sign up to sing for our Artistic Director in January

Sign Up Form Available Soon. Please make sure to add lovelandchoralsociety@gmail.com to your email contacts to ensure you receive ongoing communication from LCS.

Blend and a balanced choir will be important aspects of our performance on this tour.

Mike would like to listen to each interested singer perform a section of one of the pieces he selects.

More details will be coming regarding this - but plan on this happening the first weekend in January. You will receive an opportunity to select a time during this weekend - and if you’re also auditioning for the spring show you’ll be able to do both at the same time. Mike will provide the music in advance in order to prepare.

4. Be aware that we plan to start Rehearsals in February 2026

We will start rehearsals in February 2026 alongside the regular rehearsals for our Spring Show.

We are currently working hard to determine the exact details, please be patient with our team as we determine the when and where.

We will share information and updates about the rehearsal scheduled as it becomes available.
