LCS members had a magical time spreading holiday cheer at the recent "A Very Merry Berthoud" celebration! We loved walking along Mountain Avenue, caroling classic tunes for the festive crowds gathered before the Parade of Lights. It was a joy to connect with the community through song on such a lovely evening.

What an incredible day in Downtown Berthoud!
There is something truly magical about a small-town holiday celebration, where the air is crisp, the lights are twinkling, and the entire community comes together in anticipation.
This past weekend, members of the Loveland Choral Society had the absolute joy of participating in the "A Very Merry Berthoud" celebration. It was a heartwarming evening that reminded us all why we love sharing the gift of music during this festive season.
Setting the Stage on Mountain Avenue
As the sun went down and the incredibly popular Winter Craft Fair wrapped up, the energy on Mountain Avenue began to shift. Families bundled up in coats and hats lined the sidewalks, staking out their spots for the highly anticipated Parade of Lights.
That’s when we stepped in!
Before the first float rolled down the street, LCS members took to the parade route to serve as the evening's musical appetizer. We donned our warmest scarves and hit the street to serenade the gathering crowds with the sweet sounds of the season.
Singing with Our Neighbors
We strolled along Mountain Avenue, stopping every few feet to perform a selection of classic Christmas carols. It was wonderful to see faces light up as we launched into familiar favorites like "Jingle Bells," "Joy to the World," and "Silent Night."
The best part of the evening wasn't just our singing—it was seeing so many of you singing along with us! Despite the chilly December temperatures, the warmth from the community was palpable. Seeing children perched on shoulders waving at us, and grandparents nodding along to the harmonies, made braving the cold entirely worth it.
A Community Tradition
While we love performing on the big stage at the Rialto in Loveland, there is something uniquely special about these grassroots community events. Connecting with our neighbors to the south in Berthoud was a highlight of our holiday season.
A huge thank you to the organizers of "A Very Merry Berthoud" for inviting us to be a part of this spectacular evening. It was an honor to help set the festive tone for the Parade of Lights and to share a little harmony with everyone waiting for Santa.
